Sunshine Scavenger Hunt

Out in the Sunshine...

Time to enjoy some sun. If you have been stuck in the house and need some outside time, this is a great activity to do alone, with friends, or with your family. Before you know it, not only will you have your dose of Vitamin D, but you will moving and loving it. My daughter and I did a self scavenger hunt in our own yard and enjoyed the hot sun (I mean it was HOT), but fun. Feel free to share photos from your scavenger hunt as well in the comments. 

Materials: 
You
Camera (we used our phones) 

Ant View 

Get down low and take a photo from an ants point of view.

                         

Birds View

Go high and look down to see what the birds see.

    

Patterns

Look around and find a pattern outside. You will be surprised by how many you find. 

    

Shapes

Shapes are everywhere... circles, triangles, octagons, and more.


What goes on and on... A line of course


Face

Take a picture of someones face, if your alone, its time for a selfie!



Shadows

Find a shadow and take your photo.

          

Up close and personal

Find something beautiful (or even ugly) and get close up.




Feet

Let your feet become art.


Words

What words can you find outside?

Teachable Theme:  My Hair is Different, My Hair is Beautiful I know so many children that wish they had different hair. Its time that we teach our children that they/we all have different hair. Being able to change you hair style, color, shape, and texture makes having "different" hair FUN! Growing up, I wanted a relaxer so that I could have long straight hair, I never wore my hair natural (unless it was a 70's themed party). I started to put these same thoughts in my daughters head at a young age, but realized this was not healthy. I started to teach her that she was created with think, kinky, natural, beautiful hair. She now embraces her hair with many styles, colors, and protective style options. She keeps her hair healthy and creates a new VIBE weekly.
